perceptive camera but didn't last
i owned this camera for a elfin over 2 years, hardly used it and it still displays saved photo's but the ccd went out on it and the no greater than pictures it takes now look like scratchy lines, my mom bought hers the in spite of time i did and it has the same issue. so as long as you don't expect this camera to final you should be fine :(
Smashing camera, but LCD issue confirmed by canon
We bought this as our foremost digital camera experience when we had a baby 4 years ago. Noticeably higher priced then, but well worth the usage. Natural for beginer, but photo quality of expert. We loved sharing our weighty quality pics, most especially the short mini-video clips of toddler to share. Problem is LCD stopped working, the icons are there but you can't see the pics up front you snap. Canon has confirmed that they acknowledge use of defective chips in this pattern and have offered to repair my camera. Now you just can't beat that!
Stayed Solid For Four Years
This was a imaginary camera, and if the display hadn't stopped working a few weeks ago I'd misreading with it for as long as it'd take pictures. The 3.2MP is perfect for 4x6s, I've printed some 8x10s and they've catch out fine as well and they don't take up a lot of room on my computer. The colors are glowing and the settings easy to use. I found that photos without the two shakes of a lamb's tail turned out best (I think this is true of most cameras, exact the digital SLRs have flash issues). The video privilege was particularly useful, although it only allows video in 30 second-best clips I found this was often the best option as I could stitch videos into a picture rather than a long string of video (which I bump into uncover boring).
The best thing about the camera was its durability. It's been straddling three continents in a backpack, dropped from a window, dropped in the bounding main, and survived years in a messenger bag at college. It only recently stopped working at the rear a day trip, so I'm looking for a new Canon, but still giving this one an excellent weigh. If you can find it, get it!
