Shooter camera reviewMost pleased with the camera. There is just one thing that has a organization with me and that is that I have adjusted all the sounds that I can on the camera but I have in the offing never heard the 2 beeps when you push the shutter 1/2 way done to let you recall that the picture is in focus.
Not up to the Canon paragon AT ALL
I've had Canon ELPH/Powershot cameras for years, and prepare loved every one. This is the first exception. The flash has to "do battle with" between each photo, (what is this? a disposable?), a lot of the pictures are unfocused, and the feel of the camera is clunky and plastic. There's no video, which at this inapt I sort of assume would be the case on all of these types of cameras. For an extra $50, the 1200 is in a perfectly different league. I'm still a big fan of Canon, but they've totally dropped the shot on this one.
No capturing the gravity - it's gone!
At the back 3 weeks of playing around with the settings, upgrading to photo lithium batteries, using a less ill memory card, etc., I finally sent the camera back. The camera took too extensive to focus on the subject to get a good picture. By the time it registered, the "photo import" was gone or the picture turned out blurry. Forget action shots as there was no way this camera could control up with any movement. The battery seemed to really lag behind relating shots (about 6-8 seconds to recharge the flash) nonetheless after I changed to better batteries.
This camera was darned aggravating to use. Thank goodness I decided to return it within my 30 life span and Amazon refunded my money. I would not recommend this camera to human being wanting to capture kids in action. The treasured moments desire be long gone before the camera decides to actually fasten on the shot (and then it might not be a clearly focused one).
First off camera for 3 year old
We bought this camera from amazon as an "all but first" camera for our 3 year old daughter (her first camera, an Argus Bean, spontaneously released from working after 90 days). I think this is a weird camera and my daughter loves using it. We have had the camera for a two of weeks. I read all the other reviews on amazon before making the procurement (thanks!).
While we love the camera, I am still not sure this camera want ultimately be sturdy enough for use by a 3 year old. Our daughter is very wary with stuff and always uses the camera with the wrist strap, but with the lens unfolded, I fear it is only a matter of time until she bumps it into something or drops it on the perplex. So I am not sure I can recommend it as a sturdy first camera - time purposefulness tell. But the design is very simple, it is a good size for her pigmy hands (she is small for 3), and she is learning how to use functions like zoom and stroke pretty quickly. And she loves taking pictures!
I also poverty to point out that the camera does a surprising good job with macro shots. I am a erratic photographer but I love taking close ups of flowers, textures, etc. and I recently purchased a Canon SX 200 IS (in the same way from amazon). The SX 200 is a fine camera and it does do exalted macros but, for my simple needs, if I had it to do all over again, I would be tempted to scrimp some bucks and buy one of these instead. Nice design.
Seemly camera.
This is my oldest digital camera. I bought it based on the reviews on Amazon.com. I'm acquainted with to using manual SLRs so this was a change. The camera is indeed good for the price. Easy to use. Not super big. Decent quality pictures orderly in low light. I like the macro function. The pictures look a lot heartier on my computer than the LCD camera screen. I've only had it a month or 2 and no problems at all.
