    This camera has 9 lives!
Anything else off, this is a great basic point & shoot camera that doesn't be short of a lot of fiddling with for good pictures. It does have a lot of settings you can use if you recollect what you're doing, but the auto mode actually works to some well in most circumstances. The picture quality is above customarily for cameras within this price range, and it's nice to oblige a view finder on those very sunny days when you can't see the protection. I've had mine for a couple of years now and I've really beat it all to hell. And unruffled it keeps on going... Doesn't seem to eat batteries the way some of my other cameras in the biography have done. I got a bit of sand in the lens and it wouldn't shut - I phoney the lens closed and left it alone for a day. Gave it a good dusting and powered it help up and it worked just fine! Same thing happened another time with the same result. THEN it got completely soaked when it popped out of my pelican chest when doing a random waterfall slide while hiking... not sole was it completely submerged, but it skidded across a lot of rough rock. I prospect for sure it was toast. I took the batteries and SD card out and left it out for a day to dry. At the back of 2 days the camera works just as well as before with one irregularity: I can't seem to figure out how to keep the date/time set - which can be a PIA when uploading 600+ pictures. All the same I was truly amazed - I was thinking it was my opportunity to upgrade to a waterproof/shockproof camera I had my eye on but the camera gods don't contemplate it's time for that apparently. So while there are some things I don't like (a bit chunky, can't carry in my pocket - panoramic could work better - again get grainy pics randomly even though it's likely big-time operator error), this has been a fantastic camera all in all - very ruffian. Would definitely recommend it.
    Weighty camera
My dad has had this camera for awhile now, and it nevertheless works REALLY well. We've never had any problems with the camera. I absolutely like this camera better than my Kodak EasyShare C7430. Now I'm in the transform of getting myself a new camera and I'm not really sure what I fancy to get. As much as I love my dad's, I'm not sure if I want to get the same camera he has. In items, I think it's time I give his camera back to him. Two things I Predilection about the Canon Power Shot are the zoom and video features. I rapture the fact you can just push the button and make a video. I equally like the zoom feature on the Canon Power Shot. I want a new camera that has the video publicize and a better zoom on it.
    Thwarted after 18 months
We purchased this camera 18 months ago for our hop to Hawaii. It took some great scenic pictures. Indoor pictures are complementary story,we had noticed the Red-Eye on subjects was very bad, even with the Red-Eye settings set to On. Every quantity of photo's we had taken we have had to use photo editing software to unseat the red-eye problem afterwards. Today the internal flash quit working. I misrepresented the batteries, pulled the CMOS Battery and let it power down in hopes it would reboot. With new Batteries the take off still would not work. Since we were not overly-impressed with the blue blood of the pictures anyways, I salvaged the Batteries and the SD Card and tossed the camera in the muck. We will not even check into getting this arranged.

Our Kodak DX4530 is 8 years older, been dropped numerous times, been thrown on misfortune, rainstorms, hunting and hiking trips, tossed around in backpacks, suitcases and glove boxes and settle forgotten in a hot vehicle for two weeks and still works to this day. The Canon PowerShot had a pampered and most easy life in comparison and was not ever dropped, been wet or thrown. I would think about looking at another camera before considering the purchase of this one.
    Fianc it
I from had this camera for some time now and it is still fabulous. I bought more for my kindred ( mom, etc.) and everyone loves it. Of course there are better out there, but it is a loyal buy and pics come out clear and beautiful. The batteries need charging Time as pretty much all digitals. keep extra batteries approximately always that are already charged and ready to swap. Would unconditionally recommend this camera either way.

They made unflinching they got it right.
The triumph unit I received did not work. I thought I was in for a hard time but I was irrefutably wrong. The company responded immediately and offered a refund or a replacement. Within time, my working replacement arrived and I have been totally satisfied. Now, the quality of a product and/or company can be judged not only by when things go unhesitatingly but also by when things go wrong. Oh, and I didn't even obtain to return the first unit.
Stuff b merchandise Product. Great Deal.
For the momentary time I've owned this adapter it has worked perfectly with my Canon PowerShot A570 IS. It's undoubtedly a battery saver, especially if you are making videos. The mini-tripod included with the adapter was a rigorous bonus. I haven't uncoiled the cord all the way yet to see just how far away from a insane socket a person can get but with the use of an indoor/outdoor extension line that's not really an issue with me. I believe this to be a excess product at a great price and I'm very happy with my toe-hold.
    Matchless item!
I ordered the AC adaptor for my Canon Powershot and the seller had acutely fast shipping, and a great price. The adaptor is easy to out of trouble up, and easy to use, and it comes with an additional plug adaptor to catch up to a different type of power outlet. The tabletop tripod attaches entirely easily to the camera, and positions well for steady pictures/videos.
    Entire, excellent product and sellers!
AC Adaptor for Firearm Powershot ----- Good Deal
"I purchased the Canon PowerShot A590IS and it old batteries excessively, so I purchased the AC power cord. It arrived decidedly quickly from the mfg. and was in perfect condition. It hooked right up, and I experience been using it with great success ever since. The adaptor likewise came with a 6 inch tripod stand for the camera. It too has stock uses in tight spaces. Good bargain."

    Smashing Product!!!
This was so merit the money...and it cost very little!! We got the most marvellous photos using this with both our Canon PowerShot and our Kodak Easyshare cameras on our mistake to Cayman(the same case worked just as well for our Kodak without having to provide in another one). It worked great for both cameras and neither one got one down of water on them. I was unsure the case would work at gold medal, but after our first time snorkeling my husband and I were open-mouthed at how great it worked. We used it every day and got some of our pictures 30 feet nap. So much better than buying a separate underwater camera! I enthusiastically recommend this product.
    Okay worth the money!
I bought this occasion for a cruise that we just took in April. It worked unmistakably for swimming in Grand Cayman and even on an ATV adventure in Cozumel where it rained the unmixed time we were there. I got some amazing pictures and the encase never once leaked.

I would recommend this to someone looking for a reliable case!
    Underwater Shots
I was prevailing on a trip that would have snorkeling as one of the activities and I wanted to be accomplished to take pictures underwater. I didn't want to spend a lot of on Easy Street so I settled on a case I could use for a small point and shoot camera, a Canon A570.

This in the event that proved to be easy to set up. To use the case, drop the camera in the case and seal it. There are triple seals to husband out water. The first is a zip lock type seal that is the biggest barrier against water entry. The end of the case is folded throughout and closed with a Velcro seal and the folded again with unusual Velcro seal. The seals worked and I did not have any water get inside the happening. The case includes a strap and I hung the camera around my neck while snorkeling. There is enough air in the case such that it floats.

Using the camera arranged the case took some care. My camera has a lens that extends when the camera is turned on. If the lens is not centered over the scope in the case, it will hang and not extend fully when the camera is turned on. So the pre-eminent step was always to center the lens with one hand and airing on the camera with the other. The camera can slide around in the protection as there is nothing to fix it in position. The plastic case is heavy plenty that I found it difficult to operate the zoom lever as it is to be found near the rolled up end of the case. Buttons are much easier to ballyhoo, although it does take some effort.

I did manage to round lots of pictures underwater and they turned out OK. At the widest zoom, the end of the if it should happen shows in the picture as a black ring. Once you are underwater and try to play pictures out of the water as well as underwater, drops of water be left on the lens part of the case and show up in pictures taken with the camera out of the O.

All in all this case performed as expected and considering the price, it does a remarkable job. If one is considering doing a lot of underwater photography, then a hard come what may might be a wise investment, but for a trip and casual use this is a valuable item.
Excessive Pictures - Kept my camera dry
I was stammering to trust this product with my digital camera but went snorkling with it twice and had no question with leaking. I also took pictures from up apex while parasailing which I wouldn't have done without it existence waterproofed! My only complaint was that I couldn't use the zoom as the malleable prevented me from zooming back! I had some trouble adjusting to seeing the disastrous circle in my viewfinder buyt once I realized I could barely point slightly above the subject (fish) instead of lining them up in the customary manner, I did fine! And for those pictures that had the black cirle, I was accomplished to crop it out!

Does the canon powershot A580 have color accent?

Does the canon powershot A580 drink color accent? Or whatever the thing is where you pick out one redden and everything else is black/white (monotone)?
ok does ego know this? i REALLY like this use and i need to know now :P

No, the A580 does NOT be enduring the color accent or color swap be. And, the A650 IS, A590 IS and A720 IS do not have it either.

All of the newer ultra aphoristic, SD (Ixus) models have it, though...
SD1100 IS (Ixus 80) has the redden swap/accent feature (it was released at the at any rate time as the A580). It costs a bit more than the A580, but that's because it's a more wisely built camera and has IS (image stabilization).
