Canon PowerShot 7.1MP SD550 or Canon PowerShot 6.0MP SD600?

I can't firm between these two cameras. I've at all times been told the more megapixels the better but am baffling because both these cameras are currently the word-for-word price. Why is that? Please Help - I indigence to replace my crappy Fuji camera asap!
I'd go for the SD600. The two cameras are for all practical purposes the same (1 MP isn't going to shift that much when you're already at 6MP).
Manner, the SD600 has the newer UA lens, which is more firm. And it's body is just over 1/2 the substance of the SD550. It's a tiny camera in contrast.
