at three years old, it placid works... but not as wellI play a joke on enjoyed this camera since my MIL got it for us in 2001. But now it's starting to inform it's age, and after countless uses and trip and kids we are finally needing a new one. But I like this one for "stir up" purposes. It still works ok. It captures the dust in the air in pictures and turn on reflects on it, but if you don't use the flash, all the pics are blurry. Good now inexperienced photographers, and to post online... but not to secure quality for printing out pictures.
Same simple, dependable and good camera.
Guys, you can't hope for from this camera some super cool things because it is prime 2.1 Mp camera but this is VERY RELIABLE and decent unembellished camera that has traveled with me ALL ACROSS THE WORLD and on no account put me down! It takes regular AA batteries and the simple optics forearm unexpectedly GOOD pictures. Avoid back lighting and curious conditions and you will be Ok. I suspect that for the price it it perfect disembark little camera.
I deceive two of them
This is an unstrained to use camera that you can beat the crap out of. I thought that i had obsolete my first one and i missed it so much i bought a second... definitely the first one showed up again and now i loan them both out to my foremost school kids for website projects. I used this camera in asia and median america and beat the heck out of it knowing i had another at home. Past the last three years I have used this camera in the descend dropped it several times and never once put it in a protective casing. It still works great and my kids are still punishing both of them. with a 128MB savvy media disk i can hold about 1,000 picures (on lowest status) before i need to download.
Gargantuan little first digital camera
I've been hugely pleased with this small and inexpensive digital camera. It's been a fresh one with which to learn about digital photography. Realiable calibre for family photos. Eats batteries at an alarming rate, so get an AC adapter.
Fujifilm refuses to frame behind their product.
I've owned this camera for 18 months now. Practically immediately, I noticed small, translucent spots on some pictures entranced in certain lighting conditions. I looked at the lens under aggrandizement (40x) and saw foreign matter on the inside of the lens. I contacted Fujifilm who told me to send it to them (prepaid of routine). I enclosed a note for the technician explaining the problem, however, when the camera was returned 4 weeks later, it was in the very condition as when I sent it in, except the exterior of the camera had been cleaned by the Fujifilm technician. When I called Fujifilm apropos this, the supervisor told me these spots are a common occurance. He claims the lens is SO honest, it will actually "see" dust on the exterior of the lens. He also told me it is inconceivable for dust or other foreign matter to be on the inside of the lens. I beget a camera and dozens of pictures which disprove this "exact." The camera is ok for a point and shoot, but the warranty is worthless.
