at three years old, it assuage works... but not as wellI sire enjoyed this camera since my MIL got it for us in 2001. But now it's starting to demonstrate it's age, and after countless uses and trip and kids we are finally needing a new one. But I like this one for "give someone a thrashing up" purposes. It still works ok. It captures the dust in the air in pictures and spry reflects on it, but if you don't use the flash, all the pics are blurry. Good now inexperienced photographers, and to affix online... but not to good quality for printing out pictures.
Bloody simple, dependable and good camera.
Guys, you can't believe from this camera some super cool things because it is principal 2.1 Mp camera but this is VERY RELIABLE and decent straightforward camera that has traveled with me ALL ACROSS THE WORLD and conditions put me down! It takes regular AA batteries and the simple optics take under one's wing unexpectedly GOOD pictures. Avoid back lighting and atypical conditions and you will be Ok. I suspect that for the price it it perfect find little camera.
I must two of them
This is an relaxing to use camera that you can beat the crap out of. I thought that i had adrift my first one and i missed it so much i bought a second... personally the first one showed up again and now i loan them both out to my dear school kids for website projects. I used this camera in asia and significant america and beat the heck out of it knowing i had another at home. Over the keep on three years I have used this camera in the flood dropped it several times and never once put it in a protective patient. It still works great and my kids are still punishing both of them. with a 128MB brilliant media disk i can hold about 1,000 picures (on lowest blue blood) before i need to download.
Colossal little first digital camera
I've been least pleased with this small and inexpensive digital camera. It's been a stuff b merchandise one with which to learn about digital photography. Realiable distinction for family photos. Eats batteries at an alarming rate, so get an AC adapter.
Fujifilm refuses to uphold behind their product.
I've owned this camera for 18 months now. Practically immediately, I noticed small, translucent spots on some pictures enchanted in certain lighting conditions. I looked at the lens under increase (40x) and saw foreign matter on the inside of the lens. I contacted Fujifilm who told me to send it to them (prepaid of procedure). I enclosed a note for the technician explaining the problem, however, when the camera was returned 4 weeks later, it was in the done condition as when I sent it in, except the exterior of the camera had been cleaned by the Fujifilm technician. When I called Fujifilm with regard to this, the supervisor told me these spots are a common occurance. He claims the lens is SO unspoilt, it will actually "see" dust on the exterior of the lens. He also told me it is preposterous for dust or other foreign matter to be on the inside of the lens. I cause a camera and dozens of pictures which disprove this "declare." The camera is ok for a point and shoot, but the warranty is worthless.
