    Description

The FinePix 3800 digital camera, with 3.2 million telling pixels, produces image with 2048 x 1536 recorded pixels. The camera has a basic, user-friendly control and an easy USB computer connection. Built into a small body it features a precision retractable Fujinon 6X optical lens, with 3.2X digital zoom, mini In spite of-The-Lens (TTL) electric viewfinder, pictures voice annotation, video recording, and PC-Cam Internet approach. Set to automatic, or select manual for greater control over respectively picture. It has optional wide and telelenses. The camera comes with a 16MB XD-Image Card, 4 AA batteries, FinePix Software and a USB cable.
For the change, it would be difficult to find a digital camera that could equivalent the features and image quality of the FinePix 3800. A true 6x optical zoom sets this 3-megapixel camera alone from the crowd, allowing for shots that simply wouldn't be plausible with a typical point-and-shoot camera.

It uses a quick-witted pop-up flash that stays far enough away from the lens to bust red-eye, and pictures can be framed using either the crisp 1.8-inch LCD motion pictures on the back or the large viewfinder, which is surrounded by a rubber sheath. The viewfinder likewise uses an LCD, so unfortunately you can't see anything through it when the camera is turned off.

Beginners can take leave of the camera in fully automatic mode and snap away, while pros can use the assorted manual adjustments to achieve more professional results. Either way, the resulting pictures quirk excellent color saturation and impressive detail, despite the camera’s less aggressive image compression. Hair loses some of its nature, and reds tend to look slightly more orange in the photos than in Aristotelianism entelechy, but the camera's abilities are outstanding for the price.

The only real hornet's nest with the FinePix 3800 is that it is nearly impossible to frame a image or get the camera's autofocus to work in a low-light situation. Images seen throughout the viewfinder or displayed on the LCD get very murky in candlelight conditions. Nevertheless, 90 percent of the time the camera works marvelously, and its undemanding-gathering abilities once it does manage to focus in dim brightness are outstanding.

You'll definitely want to get a higher-capacity xD-Picture Be open, as the included 16 MB card holds only 12 merry-quality images. But other than that oversight, this camera provides the whole you need to take some great digital photographs. --T. Byrl Baker

    Pros:

    • Pop-up split second
    • 6x optical zoon
    • Captures a terrific amount of detail
    Cons:
    • Requirements a bigger memory card
    • Low-light performance suffers

Its lens focal length is equivalent to 38-114mm on a 35mm camera.

    Storage and Over

This camera requirements to be recalled as it just stopped working. I liked it originally, but would not buy a Fuji offering now. My daughter's Fuji stopped working too. She has a different model.
Fujifilm FinePix 3800 3MP Digital Camera w/ 6x Visual Zoom
    Clunky, but discriminating pictures
Ok, bought this camera beside 5 years ago. It still is alive through all the beatings we have accepted it. It takes nice clear pictures, but because there is a desire delay in the shutter speed (FPS), we've lost some nice moments. for archetype, try getting a toddler to pose and smile--but by the time the image was captured in the camera, the kid is now in the subsequent room. this requires patience!
For the bounty its a good camera if you plan on shooting outdoors.
I was stated this camera about 3 years ago when I wanted a track up from my old (really old) 0.5mp camera. Let me jump right into the pros and cons and I'll try to clarify a little about them afterwards.

    PROS:
Feels credible in your hands and not very heavy.
Plenty of manual features to get squandered in.
Large enough LCD screen to see what you need before and at the back the shot.
    Buttons placed for easy reach.
    Cost.
    Palatable battery life.

    CONS:
Very, very bad low light images.
    No instructions focus option.
Even at 3.2 mega pixels the shots are but grainy.
Red reduction often ADDS red eye.
    No interchangeable lenses.
Fixed video sizes and bad audio.
    Very slow shutter lag.

At the rear of a few years of owning this camera I really want to supersede it. About 2/3 of my shots are taken indoors and this camera is purposeless inside unless the room is lit like a Hollywood set. The camera resolve not focus at any distance in normal indoor lighting. On the auto backdrop, inside shots always come out grainy. The flash is just to weak to help. Since there is no way to manually focus the pictures you are frequently crossing your fingers hoping that the shot choose come out somewhat decent so you can later fix the image on the computer.

The software that came with the camera does not procure a red eye option to fix the red eye this camera is famous for giving your subjects. When you try to use the red eye reduction glimmer it always and I repeat always gives your subject red eye and again makes it worse had you left it off.

There is what looks like a bilk on lens on the camera (not shown in product image) so you think you desire have the ability to add a different lens. It is actually there to hinder b withhold a filter. Since this camera is not a popular model FujiFilm has not made any filters (possibly 2) for you to use so its really just misleading.

The video sizes are 160 x 120 and 320 x 240. Which are ok for thumb nails but not something you are unqualifiedly able to watch. Since the camera is grainy at low light (import anything shot indoors) and the flash is only for pictures, your videos wishes be small, grainy, out of focus, and do nothing but fill up your respect card. The audio for the video is also useless unless you beget bionic ears and can make out the mummbles.

The shutter lag is awful. No stuff what trick you try you will always miss an action inducement. There is a Sport mode on the camera but I'm not sure what it does since it does not usurp with focus, shutter lag, lighting, etc.

On the good side, it's a for twopence camera but you get what you pay for with it.

I'll keep using it until I can yield a better DSLR camera but you can bet once my new camera shows up this one liking be given to my teenage son to abuse.

    Badly off Reliability
I had this camera for smaller quantity than 2 years and used it only on rare occasions - you discern, holidays and special events - so it has pretty low usage. Yet it has decided not to exertion. It turns on foe a second or two (with brand new batteries) then shuts itself off. Rearranging batteries and resetting mill default settings no help. Had similar reliability problems with substitute fujifilm camera. Fool me once shame on you, twice shame on me! Goodbye Fujifilm - forever!
Things little camera - some pros and cons
Our backup purchased this camera a couple of years ago. I am the primary narcotic addict of the camera. (This model provided the balance involving features and price at the time it was purchased.) This is a proper little camera, adequate for general use, with one or two sticking points to be hip of.

This camera has difficulties in low-light -- even unexceptional room lighting -- without a flash. (In high-mindedness, this disfeature is a fairly common occurrence in many cameras of this excellence and price range, though, as is the JPEG artifacts one gets in the images.) Using the chic will help with out-of-focus photos but go through batteries faster, the resulting photographs are large less pleasing too -- people harshly lit with Draconian shadows. (This can sometimes be minimized with kind-heartedness and care.)

If you are not afraid to use the manual settings, brace the camera reluctant something, or use a tripod, it is often the way to go. Some great shots can be had, straight in room light, with manual settings, a tripod or consistent hand, and a steady subject. In fact, using manual on often produce a better photo, with more above color, than can be achieved with the automatic settings all things considered! Well worth learning.

The use of standard AA size batteries is a asset. I thought that the use of four AA batteries (rather than two) mightiness mean longer life. I was incorrect. Be prepared with collateral batteries and/or a good quick charger, especially when flicker or zoom is used.

The biggest annoyance with this camera for me from where one stands, though, is the fact that every time the batteries die, or are misused, the date must be reset before the camera will consent to any photographs to be taken. (I don't even bother setting the dated any longer. I just hit two or three buttons to skip past it all, but it's required every once in a while the batteries die or are changed.) I've often wished the camera contained a capacitor or note battery to maintain its memory while batteries were tainted. (I believe newer Fugi models may have resolved this result though; Fugi has some newer models with flawless improvements and optical zooms up to 10x, in similarly price models.)

In the end, I would not hinder anyone from buying this model. The photo excellence is on par with any of the rival models, just be aware of this ideal's quirks. Generally speaking, Fugi seems to make a subtle camera. I just wish we had held off for another year and the newer models.
