Avail Digital Camera but faulty shutter button
I've out $200.00 on what I thought was a quality digital camera from a dependable company (FujiFilm). After only a few years of moderate use my shutter handle popped out and the plastic tab that holds it in place was also subdued. It's design has been very cheap and will not withstand longterm use. Amuse listen to my warning and avoid wasting your money. I am not able to get a replacement shutter button for a digital camera that is unmoving functional if this button was replaced. I miss using my digital camera and can see how digital camera manufacturers carry on with to sell newer models of their cameras. They make been designed to fail eventually.
    Monstrous Bargain
This was an fearful bargain. Got this as a Christmas present for my 12 year old son. He is having a capsule with it- pictures and videos.

    thanks
    I Girlfriend this camera!!
I've had my A345 almost 4 years, and I couldn't be happier. I bought a bigger card, and I use rechargeable batteries to have to do with with the quick use of them. That's it! I've never chosen to use all the liberal features that remind me of my old 35mm, but I like that I could if I chose. I equally find the size to be just right. It has worked effortlessly with both XP and Vista past the years.
    Kick sound.. tempermental
I've had my fuji finepix for yon 3 years. After the second year I dropped it from pleasing not that far, ever since it makes a buzzing sound and chooses to labour when it wants too. Half the time the lcd screen is dark indoors and every now the zoom does not work. I always blamed dropping it for it's issues, but obviously everyone else has had the same problem. I will be replacing it this year with a panasonic.
skilful pix, if the damn thing worked..
i recieved this camera as a xmas nearest some years back. it was a bit pricey for the quality @ $250 bucks. and however the pics usually come out pretty nice, the battery question major is infuriating! the camera will turn on for a mili-second and as you gentlemen of the press the shutter, it turns off. i have bought all different types of batteries, and not one will work with it. it will SOMETIMES take ONE or peradventure up to FIVE pictures, before turning itself off. it will equally turn off sometimes if you use the zoom. so, basically it actually WORKS around 15% of the time, and i've missed so many pictures over the years!

I wouldn't be in the same league it.

With the Fuji models, we're in back of surreptitiously in known territory and respectable review sites oblige something to say. Unfortunately, what they say isn't rather favourable...

The best affair about this review is that they suggest specific other cameras instead. (Canon PowerShot A520, Nikon Coolpix 4600, Panasonic's Lumix LZ1)

    A340 assessment:http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/fuji_a340_pg5.html
Not as bad as the other rehash, but hardly enthusiastic.

That site in the same way lists their own favourites per budget segment: http://www.steves-digicams.com/overcome_cameras.html

I'm afraid that's all I can suggest. Point & shoots aren't my convincingness. You'll probably get a ton of recommendations from other populace though, and armed with that weigh site and this one http://www.dpreview.com/ I'm foolproof you'll be marvellously confused by the end of the day.
