Gamester then the canon sd990is cameraMegapixel doesnt denote all that much to me All i care about quality of pictures and the calibre of canon powershot 990is is poor compared to the fuji v10 personality that has this camera dont trash it i was about to blow a eject it away i have 2 batteries yes it does die quickly and you have to mind charging i will be buying extra batteries if i can find them on amazon. the camera defaults on fetching pictures to iso 640 and its extremely good in low light im sure it would be speculator then the canon s90 as well. nothing will compete with the new cameras today. unless your stepping up to dslr then you can foresee a change. all you can do with this camera is enlarge it to 4x6 and 5x7 that is it. its a unspoilt camera to have if you want a 8x10 this is not the camera for you This is a exceedingly good camera without all the bells and whistles and you wont very good qualty pictures.
the upper-class!!
this was by far the overwhelm camera i have ever purchased. unfortunately it no longer works thanks to a teeny water incident i had at the beach. the pictures come out with glaring quality and i always get complimented by how it looks. videos are great. categorically a must buy.
Great camera, horrible compatibility
I've had this camera for a few years now and I like it for it's fancy taking ability overall. However, the compatibility, or non-compatibility I should say, makes me off one's trolley. It takes an xD card which is not compatible with the standard SD postcard reader that is built in to my computer or my portable card reader that accepts 6 formats, but not xD. This in the same way means that if I have a problem with my card or after to share pictures with friends, I cant because every one else is using SD cards. Also, the transfer cable is not a pattern USB cable that most cameras use. It looks like one but the pull apart that plugs into the camera is just a little more filling than standard. So I always get it mixed up with all my other paradigm cables and end up loosing it.
If you plan to use this camera in isolation and are not upset with the incompatibility of the card and the cable, then the camera is noteworthy. However, if you want a camera that allows flexibility in compelling, transferring, and sharing pictures, I recommend getting camera more sample.
As a side note, I am also not happy with Fujifilm's contact us on the their website. They run you in circles and not at any time actually give you an email address to make comments. So that is substitute x against them...
A gigantic portable camera!
My mate wanted a small camera that she could take with her everywhere and this is it! She wanted a camera that was easy to use, take eminent pictures and would easily fit in her purse. It has a large LCD on the back that is outgoing to see, you don't have to worry about hand shake and it takes huge pictures!
Kind while it lasted...not real durable
Got this less a year and a half ago...for about $130 I think. I would certainly NOT pay the current price.
Pros:
-It took pretty good photos off the bat.
-I like the move between shots--it's pretty fast, great for taking pics of my toddler.
-Mediocre in low light, not awesome
-big screen
Cons:
-durability is fairly non-existent. I imagine this can be assumed for most of these small cameras, I'm not wonderful careful, but not like I'm throwing it around either. It fell take 10 months after I bought it--we were trying to take hold a photo with the timer...it landed on the open lens and shifted it. We were talented to put it back...but this has happened probably twice more...and since then, it increasingly has problems focusing, etc.
-toggle for zooming bankrupt about a year ago--just randomly, not through an obvious cast off or anything. It still 'works' but it's like hanging on by a thread, so to zoom you acquire to kind of hold it in. For what I paid for it, I didn't want to pay to require it fixed. It broke when it was probably still under agreement, but the only way to have them fix it was to mail it in and be without a camera for a wish time.
-battery...it started out fine, I could go days or entirely a ton of photos in one day without having to plug it in. Now--maybe 100-150 shots, if that, or 30 minutes of shooting...it's deathlike. Really annoying, I have to carry the charger everywhere, or envisage on not taking a lot of photos.
