Customer Reviews
a laudatory beginner basic or young child's cameraWe bought this the week my son was instinctive in 2005 because it was cheap & we needed a digital to use with our notebook to send pictures quickly. The plastic body doesn't non-standard like too strong, but has held up to being dropped several times by my son. It has root functions; auto, night portrait, flash settings including red eye reduction & undisturbed video - the video tends to be grainy and you need to hold pure still while using it. Using the video you'll need lots of beat, this doesn't do well in low light. It's very easy to learn to use, but equally limited. If you only need it for snapshots (think Polaroid), it's ok, but there are so sundry better, smaller cameras available with 6 megapixels or more, with more zoom (look for optical zoom instead of digital zoom) aim & better quality photos. The Sony Cybershot series, for specimen, is very good, as is Canon's PowerShot line & Nikon's Coolpix supply many others, quite a few are slimmer & and can fit easily into shirt filch or clutch. With only 3.2 megapixels, you still can get some proper photographs with this little baby. Over the quondam few years though, we have upgraded our cameras several times from this one as we rapidly outgrew the capabilities of the previous cameras.
I give it two stars because it is minimal, basic, the video is silent & grainy and this camera burns via batteries faster than other compact digitals. I had to modulate batteries every 3-4 days. Save your net for a more recent compact digital that will offer you better photos and not drain your batteries so quickly. I would approvingly recommend investing in a set of Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries. I've been using them in my larger, more force hungry cameras & they last a long time, longer than Energizer's NiMH rechargables. Subsequent to the compacts available these days, this one just doesn't put up with out.
This little Kodak is now our son's & he loves it his first camera. He is not quite 5 and loves prepossessing pictures of everything - kind of like me with my 110 shoot camera when I was a kid, except with no expense of film & developing!
Works OK, but reasonable for a short time before breaking
I purchased this camera a year or two ago as a honorarium. She has only used it a few times. One day, it abruptly stopped working. Batteries were misrepresented, etc., but the camera was just plain dead. It was not abused, so we are at a loss to unravel why it went "patas arriba." Very disappointing.
Grand camera overall
I bought this as a bent for my nine year old daughter. It's great. Not complicated to work at all. Bought it utilized and still in great working order. Only negative is that it doesn't get a button to zoom. You have to use the display (instead of the view hot water) and then you are able to zoom. It took us a little while to root this.
dont use the zoom
I oblige had this camera for 3 yrs now and like it for the most part but hate that you hypocrisy zoom in and have a picture turn out, everytime I have zoomed in for a understanding it has NEVER turned out the pictures ALWAYS look grainy and look like its raining ! and its not real for moving objects its too slow!
Well turned out for 1st time users or beginners
I bought the Kodak CX7300 with respect to maybe 5 yrs ago and it is great for first time buyers and if you do not want to catching action shots. The pictures turn out great if you are close up to a subject-matter or outside. Action shots don't come out very well because of the carefully shutter speed and the zoom is very grainy when see in the mind's eye is developed. It also takes too long in between shots. All-inclusive a good first timers camera.
