Intimate little camera~I bought this camera for my dad who is electronically unschooled =P He uses it for work, and it takes nice pictures for a point and zap.
Start with Time I've Been Disappointed With a Kodak
Even so Kodaks aren't known as a top quality photgraphic tool, this is the start with time I've ever been disappointed in one. I've owned other Kodaks, but this one didn't exude the picture quality I expected. It hasn't been used since the from the word go time for this reason. The higher end Kodak Easyshares, such as the 700 series and up are excellent and are incredible values, but this one I cannot recommend.
Lacks robustness
I bought this camera for my missus 2 years ago (i.e.,Jul 2007.) I liked the camera and my wife did as well. The camera was not often used and looked brand new when it quit (never dropped, wet or dusty & kept in abate case when not in use.) The lens stuck in the out position and nothing I tried would set up it return, it quit taking pictures as well. The repair fee was $80 plus S/H to Kodak and $91 plus S/H to an independent repair right. Except for the durability issue the camera was the best one we had. Sad to say Kodak may be the best trade-mark around but it's another brand for me. Durability is the number one priority for me since my pockets are not to the utmost of cash.
Take to be THIS BEFORE YOU BUY- LCD BREAKS/OVERPRICED
I pidgin believe they are selling this camera for 300 bucks. I bought it for my hoard last year for 140 (tax included) at Best Buy I think.
Anyways I unquestionably hope noone spends that much.
The cons of this camera are what populace mentioned: slow lag time when you push down the handle to take your pic (maybe 1 second after you push it fine hair) Flash is very bright, software sucks HORRIBLY. THE Main CON IS THIS: The LCD screen breaks extremely easily, even if you put the camera in a what really happened. The camera was in its case, and in a small carryon suitcase (we were the exclusive ones that had it and were careful with it) and somehow the LCD examine still got cracked. Upon looking for replacement LCD screen, I create out they cost 55 not including shipping. I also saw scads many other people posting reviews and complaints in the air the LCD screens cracking.
There is a viewfinder on this, but it makes the camera damn near useless. If you buy this camera please dont spend 300 and announce SURE you are the type who will be extremely delicate with this camera, and straightforward if you put it in a hard case, the screen might crack. I read yon a pen in a girls purse cracking the screen. It is also quite large.
One cool feature is the Panoramic setting. You can link many pics for a whopping pic. Too bad I cant use anything without the lcd screen! :(
I am not impressed
This camera has been a ass since I got it last year. The major flaw that I should prefer to found is that the flash is entirely too bright. Most of my pictures with the spark come out looking like things are glowing. I have tried playing with the flicker but it doesn't work.
Another issue I have with it is that it takes too extended to get the picture. Again, I've experimented with settings but it doesn't ease. The pause is long enough to screw up any posed shots (someone thinks the exact likeness was taken and moves) and forget action shots.
If anyone moves, the picture gets a mask. Oh and let's not forget that sometimes parts of the picture seem hazy even without anyone having moved.
I can't wait to determine to be a better deal on a camera and get rid of this one. I had an older easyshare before this one and LOVED it. This one, not so much.
