Close little cameraThis camera is serious for the price. I'm not much of a photographer, so I won't critique the quality of its photos or pictures, but I'm pleased with both.
My only complaint is that the camera doesn't have all the hallmarks to have a battery meter. Is it fully charged? Half charged? Who knows? The just battery-life indicator you get from it is an 'empty battery' concept when the thing is almost dead. I've tried searching in every way the menus for a way to find or turn on a battery life indicator, but it's not to be build, apparently. What this means is that if you haven't adapted to it in a while, you better charge it before you take it anywhere to run pictures, because you might not get much use out of it before it dies, and you can't distinguish until it starts to run down. Of course, that can be a problem when you referee to go somewhere on the spur of the moment.
Survived the hands of orphans in Africa
Be subjected to kids? Fumble a lot? Just want an extra durable camera? Then get this one. My Kodak has been dropped vast times over and over again by kids in an orphanage who all oppugn over who gets to take pictures. Though it had a crack in the organization, it has not stopped working, which was quite the relief when I was first mortified and watched it diminish.
The camera is just as good as any other point-and-shoot camera out there for those of us who aren't professionals or aren't uncommonly picky and just want a small camera to carry for everyone. Sometimes indoor lighting doesn't work too well, but way I have been extremely happy with the outcome of my pictures.
But without a doubt, what makes me give great reviews is the incredible self-assurance I have found in the camera. It's been dropped all over South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe... this element survives rock, sand, dirt, and grimy hands.
Lens blurred noise is my biggest concern.
Likes:
- Reduced enough to carry in pocket.
- Battery life okay but I'd insinuate getting a second as backup.
- Focuses and shoots fast. (already on)
- Canny capture usually takes the best/easiest photos.
- Zoomable while recording video.
- Crave video record times. 30 mins. I think.
- Hi intention video.
Dislikes:
- Sometimes, if the battery dies while the lens is unfolded it gets stuck out until you can get power to it again. When that happens, I normally wait a minute for the battery to regain a little juice then swiftly turn it on and off to get the lens retracted. This is a bad design flaw. My old Kodak EasyShare DX6490 4MP Digital Camera with 10X Visual Zoom was smart enough to not allow you to extend the lens without adequate juice and always retracted it just before dieing.
- The lens is starting to turn over a complete focusing noises after 2 months. My DX6490 did the same fetish after 1+ years. You could hear the noise in recored videos.
- Takes too extended to shoot from being off and takes too long to turn off.
- Switching linking modes is a little slow because you have to go into the configuration menu (dedicated button).
- I assumed you'd be able to select opening & shutter priority with this camera but you cannot. You can use presets like macro and aspect to suggest what you want but it's not the level of control I was looking for.
Disclaimer: I've on the contrary owned Kodak EasyShare cameras. So I have no experience with other brands. I've liked my times gone by Kodaks enough to continue to buy them.

Not benefit it :(
I typically infatuation kodak and this is roughly my 5th Kodak Easy Share and I have been satisified with all of them. My hold out one broke after 1 1/2 years so I bought another one sensible it was a fluke. My current Easyshare M1093 did not live up to the quality I expect from Kodak. The preponderance of the pictures come out grainy and it does not take good pictures unless lit cheerily. I switch to many different modes and none seem to usurp. Don't waste your money.
