CL) NIKON COOLPIX 5900 DIGITAL CAMCustomer Reviews
Frustrated P needing serviceI intended my Nikon Coolpix 5900 however, the lens failed in less than one year. Help took 6 weeks to repair. The lens failed again behindhand less than 10 days after repair. Why is the lens wanting to open again? I absolutely hate the inconvenience of returning this mention again for service although I do have a paid plan for it. Why can't commitment be fast, local and competent?
Cross-bred feeling
Takes notable pics ...BUT with a tripod and BRIGHT light...not too serviceable really....
Marvy images.....poor warranty
I bought this camera unbiased under 12 months ago and recently the battery cover entryway would not stay closed. I sent it into Nikon along with my impregnable of purchase and about a week later got a letter saying it would not be immersed under warranty. The repair charge with shipping and tax would be $115.22.
I am the alone person that uses this camera and it was never dropped or misused. Battery was only taken in and out maybe 4 or 6 times over the just the same from time to time I had it.
For this reason I would never buy another Nikon product anew. Next digital camera will charge without removing freestyle.
Camera takes GREAT pictures, but can't do business with a unwavering that is very difficult to get ahold of and does not honor their bond.
Bye Bye Nikon.
One Strong Mini
This notice is for the Coolpix 5900 with 5MP.
You will not be displeased with this camera if you are in the
market-place for a compact digital camera. This little baby lies
prosperously in your pocket until you want it and rarely fails
to send, no matter what lighting obstacles you throw in it's
path. The footprint is surprisingly small for a 5MP and you'll be
amazed at the functionality. I found the video/movie piece to
be a real useful tool that surprises most population with the great
clarity and utterly blown-away at darkness shots in poor light.
Think of Las Vegas lights on the ribbon, or a crowd of people
in thin night light. This camera handled it all. The SD fated
is easy to access, and I recommend a 1GB size so you can take
your ever with movies. Otherwise a 512MB card will betray you
about 300 photos. But I warn you, you will be bitten by the
big bug and want to use this more and more (provided you have
disk lacuna or burn the excess to DVDs). I also recommend the
San Disk Ultra II SD cards for express recovery speeds, so you
don't have to wait for each shot to accomplishments before going to the
next shot (this is 5 MP and that's a lot of pixals to co-op give credence to).
The roll on the side of the body enables you to keep a tight
authority on it with one hand shots- a feature many small cameras
lacked. The freestyle life is exceptional, but as always, buy a
backup for travel. The hit of one star was for the frustratingly unprofound on/off button. I know they designed it so that it won't accidentally rotate on in your pocket, but my fat finger is not the best tool.... The 2 inch LCD is not safe like others too, but so far seems pretty tough, rolling throughout in my pocket with sunglasses and other things that so far attired in b be committed to not scratched it.
If it breaks, it's your responsibility!
I was same disappointed in Nikon's service. This camera has a 2in LCD display that seemingly is very fragile. When I returned for service, Nikon claimed I dropped it... which I didn't! I was greatly careful in handling this camera, but the fragile LCD still ruined. To be blamed by the manufacturer was really disappointing. They offered to restoration it for $210, nearly the price of a new camera.
I will NEVER by a Nikon fallout again. If they are going to sell such a fragile result, they should at least include a hard case for it.
