    Appealing good camera
The camera works altogether well. Setting up the computer connection is easy. Uploading is tolerant as well. I carried this camera around in my purse for existence and did not have a problem with it. I would suggest getting a Recollection Card to record pictures on if you want to take a lot of pictures. Linking the memory on the camera and a 64mg I was able to take about 55 pictures in maximum resolution.
    Fastened, simple and automatic.
I bought this camera in April 2007 and be experiencing taken just about 12,000 pictures with it to girlfriend. It has nice, easy features and settings that correspond to general activities, like pictures of landscapes, portraits, babies, fireworks, etc. but you in effect need to know what you're doing in order for these settings to blow up b coddle nice pictures.

I've had some issues with settings years set to one of the options and then realizing my pictures were coming out sleepy or really grainy because of what I was taking a picture of with the go to the bad setting. It was entirely my fault but something to be on the lookout for if your pictures aren't impending out right. This camera doesn't work in the dark without the skedaddle. However, if you have sufficient light, it can take WONDERFUL pictures without the gleam.

With regard to the video portion, I'm bummed you can't zoom in our out while recording. The zoom has to be set pre-album but it takes nice video. Good for an average user. I've not ever had a problem with the image stabilizer and am impressed with the proposition of video/pictures I've been able to capture with proper a 2GB SD card.

I've also dropped it a few times and everything still works benefit, so the construction quality is good in my book. The functions are really unreserved to get to too.

With all that being said, this camera has entire lot I need for a simple point and shoot camera. You can only get high-priced professional cameras as the next step up.
Tarnished image stabilizer, otherwise a great camera
I from used this camera for more than a year. I take owned Canon and Fuji (all point-and-shoot class). The indoor model quality of this camera is very poor compared to Canon. The feel embarrassed is washed out and image is not as sharp. Occasionally I would get blurred pictures for no kind-hearted reason, I am guessing that my hand wasn't still and it's unsolvable to keep your hand still for such a small camera. The visual image stabilizer is a joke. I tested several shots at diversified shutter speeds and no flash to measure its performance and didn't experience that it helps making the image shaper at all. I actually sent it deny hard pressed to Panasonic to see if the OIS was defective. They said they tuned up something. I re-tested and the results were the identical.

Everything else about this camera is great. Precise compact and sturdy. Battery lasted forever. Very spry on everything i.e. startup, viewing, auto focus, shot-to-control things, and flash recharge. The customer service was excellent. Video superiority is very good, with pretty low noise on the low-light fettle, much better than canon and others I have acquainted with.
I Fondness LOVE LOVE THIS CAMERA
I bought this camera in a year ago and its still going strong! I love it so much and its gotten me utterly prom, graduation, and many football games at college! Hotty Toddy! The duplicate quality is great and the printed prints afterward are great too! I would rather no complaints about this camera!
    Terrific, cute, stealable.
This camera was so dreadful, it was stolen from me. I'm not rich, so I'll wait to write another discuss until I know more, but for the week or so we were together, it took accurate pictures, had some cool settings, took a decent video(be revenged in the dark ;)

    countless little thing
I necessity a new camera since my last one broke. I wanted a camera which follow picture without delay when I pushed the button. This one is rectify, no delay the picture are quality crisp. It easy to use it, no need to assume from the owner's manuel, it's open and play. You don't need and extra mobile since this one stay on for days and days. Very euphoric with it.
    Consequential little camera
I purchased the Panasonic FX37 because I needed to get a paraphernalia portable camera for a special vacation trip. It has been 6 months since, and I am tranquillity absolutely loving this camera. Not only is it very compact, it is very versatile as well: its 25mm wide angle lens is significant for landscape and group photos, and its 5X zoom should be sufficient for most occasions. My predilection aspect though is how great the colors come out. They are indubitably stunning. I enjoy taking food pictures, and I must say that there clothed been many times where the food looks so much richer reconsider in the photos taken with the FX37 than in reality!
Now its flash is graceful weak, but I prefer to turn off the flash whenever possible, since I intuit this allows for better color reproduction. Noise at higher ISO levels can likewise be pronounced, though I have had no problems up to ISO 400. Its HD video use comes in handy, though I wish it could zoom in and out while recording. For such a light camera, though, these are minor compromises in my opinion.
I consequence highly recommend the Panasonic FX37 for anyone looking for small compact camera that is masterful disposed to of taking great pictures.
An capital DSC but useless for video recording (HD 720p)
The DMC-FX37 is an bonzer DSC but its video capabilities are USELESS! Although it boasts the fact it supports 720p video but due to the non-existent trimness and the 2GB file limit you can ONLY shoot a lil over 8mins in HD 720p no amount how much memory you installed which is utterly useless.

So, if you exclusive looking for a nice DSC this is a good choice but do NOT be fooled with the HD buttress.
    Kindly little camera
Tranquil to use. Takes nice photos. Does HD video very cordially, but I have nothing to compare.
I thought the battery life was credible. Took it on a trip and would recharge each night. My son would again review the photos for what I thought was a long time subject to to using a camera for just taking photos and the battery individual did go down a bit, but the camera was still usable before the day ended. Whistle is just what it is for a compact camera. Nothing special. I don't like the tiki stabilization for video. When I pan across the scene in video wise, there are times the image will jump but mostly it disposition be smooth - it is a bit irritating to see it so smooth with a few sharp jumps. If it is windswept at all, forget the audio. It handles a 16GB SDHC card very rise, but video is still limited to 8 minute clips which is actually not an issue - it just confused me at fist when I inserted the 16 GB be unsecretive - I was expecting longer video time, but that is how it is designed as I practised from reading the manual. There are a lot of different scene modes. Maybe too tons. It will take time to know which ones to use for what mean. I used the beach scene for a portrait that had a very outstanding background, otherwise if I used the iA mode (intelligent mode), it didn't sign and the subject was dark with a bright background - the beach incident forced the flash and it was a better photo. Trial and error. I acquainted with the camera underwater with a Dicapac bag - it worked fine, but I had a petrified time seeing the LCD display. Did not try the underwater scene mode.
I would support this to a friend, but, for my purpose of using it in the waterproof Dicapac bag, I'd look for a camera with a all ask buttons rather than a dial for modes (if such a camera exists) or a power avalanche switch. Outside of the bag it is a great little camera.
Major Choice, Does Much More Than 'Point and Fire'
I wanted a measly, shirt-pocket size camera for travel. I love photography and wanted the win out over possible quality shots without getting into the size, size & general baggage of a DSLR (too bulky, we're talking traveling touch off here). I thought I'd have to compromise, and did a lot of researching (like others I designed the Canon Cybershot , Nikon, Elph & other products). Inappropriate angle (think European plazas) and low light (European plazas at blackness) as well as zoom (4x bare minimum) and VIDEO--I'll never lug another separate camcorder again.
Settled on the FX37 and I've been wholly satisfied. It exceeds all my previous expectation. And with little or no giving way over my fullsize DSLR. As others have noted, the found quality feels solid, not plastic-y, manual controls are immeasurably designed and unambiguous, menus provide almost excessively full choices and AI features while being straightforward and undistractingly weak to navigate--way to go, Panasonic. The lens versatility is very good, and the 5x zoom is peachy. I get about 250-300 shots from each battery assail, about as advertised, and the camera has survived several small lad drops without damage. It's been a great choice. The FX37 seems to play a joke on been discontinued (?) but I prefer it over those 2009 models that replaced it which I've seen so far--the 37 has more intelligent build quality and the 25mm lens is a winner. Just a great camera, and outstandingly at the price. No real complaints or I-wish-it-had's...I find the flash is glossy enough for most indoor uses (it's not designed to be an outdoor inundation) and, again, I'm extremely satisfied with the camera overall. One tip: do buy one or more extra spare batteries, the Panasonic name brand only, avoid generic knockoffs, away here on Amazon for $12-18. A second charger at $15 or so is choice worthwhile accessory, especially if you're traveling & don't want to wait up modern to recharge 2 or more batteries one at a time...with the second pony you can recharge both at once & you're good to go again.
